Grooming
For the best results you will want your dog to be groomed this might include:
1. Fresh Trim - some of our customers prefer their groom a few days before. We need to see your dog's eyes for best results.
2. Brush - A quick brush on the day of the groom will make your dog look sharp.
3. Eyes - Please wipe around your dog's eyes no one wants eye bogies on a printed picture.
4. Clean - If you have a dog that loves mud you might want to give them a fresh wash on the day of the photo shoot. Even if they end up muddy by the end of their adventure with us.
Rewards
Your dog should be rewarded for being a 'good boy or 'good girl' on their photoshoot
Please bring their favourite treats or toys.
Top Tip: Although many of your pups including mine love a ball we recommend that you don't throw it until it's time to get some action shots. A ball and the forrest floor usually ends up with muddy tongues and dirty fur.
Treats and small squeaky toys can be the perfect combination with a ball left for some running later on.
You know your dog:
What's their favourite treat?
What toys do they like?
Exercise
Ideally your dog will have been taken out earlier in the day for some light exercise. If your dog is too tired they will have no energy for the action shots and a tongue hanging out, but if they haven't been out at all they might be a little too wild. Although we love a lively pup.
Collar
We prefer a collar over a harness to show off your dog's fur as much as possible. If your dog walks better in a harness we can always take it off before we start shooting.
What to bring?
1. Treats
2. Toys
3. Water
4. Poo Bags
5. Lead
6. Comfortable shoes
Have Fun
And remember to have fun with us, you won't be judged if your dog doesn't sit or won't stay. We have photographed all sorts of dogs and we absolutely love a cheeky personality. We love an action shot and will happily capture your pup in motion running, climbing, swimming or anything else that makes their personality shine.
